Senegalese Star Wally Seck will be performing at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on 14th February to raise money for Bakau’s BK Milan FC.
This is the first time in many years for a First Division club to take up such fundraising initiative.
So many football talents have abandoned the game in the past to embark on the illegal migration due to low wages and little motivation by Clubs owners.
The CEO of BK Milan, Ousman Cho Drammeh, told What’s On-Gambia: “We don’t just want to sit and rely on The Gambia Football Federation or the government. We want to embark on our own fundraising activities to meet our financial obligations to our players. We want to make the game lucrative for our players.”
He added: “We are calling on the public to come out and support this cause. The entire funds raised from the concert will be used to better BK Milan football club.”
BK Milan was founded on 23rd December in 2003 and it is one of the top clubs in The Gambia.
