Wedding photographer Muhamadou Bittaye of Bitz Photography has reported What's On-Gambia to Meta, the company that owns and operates Facebook and Instagram.

Muhamadou reported that the online media outlet stole one of his wedding videos and shared it on Instagram without his consent.

In a message to What's On-Gambia, the Instragm Team disclosed they received a notice from the photographer that "it infringes his copyright".

They advised the media outlet to contact Muhamadou and if an agreement is reached to restore the reported content, he should send them a restraction through the appropriate channel.

"Instagram complies with the notice and takedown procedures defined in section (c) of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act," they wrote.

A source close to Muhamadou disclosed: "I think he was forced to report you guys and he was assisted by a team that is familiar with how to report copyright infringement."
