Fatou Touray was one of the most adored TV personalities in the country. She is a charismatic young mum who was a hit with GRTS viewers. 

She was also the Senior Sales Manager of GAMTEL and recently she organized a successful Senegambian music concert featuring Pape Thiopet and Gee. 

So it came as a shock, when the national telecommunications company suddenly decided to demote her to a much-reduced role, elevating Fatou Fatty as the new Senior Sales Manager. 

Fatou bowed out gracefully and took GAMTEL’s decision ‘like a man’. She’s currently out of the country and now rumours are swirling that she’s extremely upset with her bestie and former subordinate, Fatou Fatty. 

But according to a source close to the former GRTS presenter, she is still ‘best buddies’ with Fatou Fatty and they’re constantly in touch. 

The source rubbished media reports that Fatou Touray absconded and has no intention of returning to the country soon. 

The ex- Sales Manager’s energy and humour made her a refreshing face on GRTS. She declined to speak to What's On-Gambia. 

Her successor at GAMTEL, Fatou Fatty worked as a cashier for the company’s internet café at Westfield before bagging a GAMTEL scholarship to study in the UK. She currently holds a Master’s Degree from the Liverpool John Moores University.
