Adama Damia Drammeh is the producer and presenter of The Gambia’s newest entertainment show on the Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS) named Glimpse Show.

The 21-year-old is no stranger to working in the media. She has previously worked with the national broadcaster as an intern for three months.

Adama told What’s On-Gambia: “It was during my internship I realized entertainment shows in The Gambia were just same thing and most of the time one sided only focusing on music. So that is why I came up with GLIMPSE which means short.”

According to her, it’s a 15-minute show that offers a platform for the promotion of Gambian comedians, actors, musicians, event organisers and DJ’s.

“Glimpse is a platform that complements the efforts of Gambian entertainers, something that doesn’t only show their performances on stage but  also informs their fans  about the WHO, HOW, WHEN AND WHERE making their work more comprehensive and giving people more reasons to support.”

Adama disclosed she is funding her entertainment show from her savings.

Glimpse is aired every Saturday from 10pm to 10:30 pm on GRTS.
