The police have blocked famous socialite Aisha Fatty from traveling outside The Gambia as they further investigate whether her luxury cars were fraudulently purchased.

Aisha's vehicles including a Mercedes-Benz Brabus, were confiscated earlier this year by the Interpol Unit of The Gambia Police Force.

According to an insider at the Police Headquarters in Banjul, the Gambian-Egyptian beauty, who was once linked to former Liverpool star Sadio Mane, reports to their office every week as part of her bail conditions.

The insider further disclosed that the terms of Aisha's bail were recently modified to block her from leaving the country.

"She was arrested, briefly detained and later her bail was increased to prevent her from leaving the jurisdiction," said the insider.

He also disclosed that some prominent Gambians, including the former speaker of the National Assembly and now The Gambia's ambassador to South Africa, Fatoumatta Jahumpa Ceesay, allegedly contacted the IGP demanding that Aisha should be "given back her freedom".
