A British-Nigerian influencer has died after undergoing a penis enlargement procedure in Thailand, with a UK coroner’s report reportedly linking his death to a fatal pulmonary embolism.
Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, 43, was on holiday in Bangkok with his wife, Daniella Simba Allen, when he underwent the cosmetic procedure on March 5.
But what began as a cosmetic treatment ended in tragedy.
Details of Ubiribo’s death only emerged months later, after British media reported findings from a postmortem examination. According to the coroner’s report, substances injected during the procedure may have contributed to the fatal embolism.
Ubiribo reportedly received injections containing hyaluronic acid and the local anaesthetic lidocaine.
Soon after the procedure, he and his wife were having a massage when he suddenly complained of chest pain. He then repeatedly lost consciousness, according to the report.
His condition deteriorated rapidly.
He was rushed to hospital, where medical staff reportedly found him struggling to respond coherently to questions. Doctors planned to carry out a CT scan to determine what was happening, but his condition worsened before the scan could be performed.
Ubiribo ultimately died from a pulmonary embolism, according to the coroner’s report.
The tragedy has since raised fresh questions about the potential risks of cosmetic penis enlargement procedures, particularly those involving injectable substances.
His death has also sparked online reactions, with some asking why he did not explore other options before undergoing the procedure.
