Why feminist Lala Touray blocked MC Cham on Facebook

Famous politician MC Cham of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) has revealed to What's On-Gambia that feminist Lala Touray blocked him on Facebook for supporting Bob Keita.

Bob, the CEO of Fire Protect Gambia, is standing trial for allegedly raping his now ex-wife's younger sister who was staying with them in Latri Kunda Piccadilly. He denied the allegation.

The opposition politician was among the many prominent Gambians who were at the Bundung Court on Monday, June 18, to show solidarity with the businessman.

In a WhatsApp message, Lala said she is disappointed in MC Cham and former National Assembly member Omar Ceesay.

She wrote: "I am very disappointed in both of you. Very, very disappointed! Both of you are politicians seeking office, and I hope you know this will affect any future plans you have."

Lala continued: "Also, I am afraid, I will have to discontinue our friendship because I will not be associated with apologists. Beta ngen ma torop nak yow ak Omar."

Speaking to What's On-Gambia, MC Cham said: "I don't care, let her block me everywhere. Who's Lala? They think feminism is about being hostile to men."
