Aisha is unquestionably the first woman to drive a Marcedes Brabus on Gambian road. But the pricey car was recently seized by the Gambia Police Force.

The car, which is worth D20 million, was taken away as part of investigations by the Interpol unit at the Police Headquarters in Banjul.

A source disclosed that police want to know how the famous socialite can own one of the most expensive cars in the country. They want her to produce documentation that she is the legitimate owner of the Mercedes Brabus.

"It's one the most talked-about cases at the Police Headquarters and our seniors are the ones handling the file," said a source, who begged for anonymity.

According to our source, the police also seized Aisha's Mercedes-Benz GLE, which is worth D9.8 million

"Both vehicles still remain in police custody. She wants them back but police are insisting that if she doesn't provide the necessary paperwork, they would not return the cars to her."

A senior police officer who spoke to What's On-Gambia refuted suggestions that they acted improperly in the seizure of the cars.
