25-year-old Momodou Badjan launches own company

He graduated from West African International School (WAIS) in 2011 and from 2012-2014 continued his studies with Business Management at the Business Training Centre in Cape Point. Momodou Badjan recently launched his own company, Fast Track Movement.

What’s On-Gambia: What inspired you to start the company?

Momodou: Well! I always wanted to start something new in The Gambia. We always see people struggling with their belongings when packing, unpacking, cleaning etc and trying to hire a truck when moving to new place. I thought about it for a moment and said to myself it' would be a great idea to start something like this here to help people and also to create employment for my fellow youths which is what inspired me to launch  Fast Track Movement.

How does Fast Track Movement work?

Our process is simple yet efficient: Initially, we will schedule an appointment with you 1-5 days before your scheduled move. Whether you require your entire home/office packed or only specific rooms, our professional packers will establish if you would like our “view Image” service and a member of the team will take pictures of each room.

What options are available for customers?

We offer packing and unpacking for offices, homes and anything else!

Have you always wanted to start your own company?

Normally I do research twice a week on business ideas I could do but I wasn't that serious about implementing those ideas. With this one, I stood up and Alhamdulilah here it is. I personally have never heard of anything like this before and I think is high time for a developing country like ours to have services like these.
