The 8th edition of the Fulbe Africa International Cultural Festival will be held at the Basse Mini Stadium in the Upper River Region, this will be the first time that the event will be held outside the Greater Banjul area which manifests the organisation’s desire and objectives to decentralize its programs and activities throughout the country and even beyond.
This year’s festival will be held from Friday 25th - Saturday 26th December, 2020 under the theme "Ndaroɗen Ndannden Pulaagu" -“Let’s Stand Together to Protect our Heritage”.
The first day of the event will be characterized by cultural displays, traditional performances from groups and artistes from The Gambia, Senegal and Guinea.
On the second day, a conference featuring prominent guests and all participants shall be held to discuss topics of importance towards the preservation of our collective heritage, unity and peaceful co-existence amongst various ethnic groups in the subregion etc.
The event will bring together thousands of people from all regions of the country, neighbouring Senegal and guests from Nigeria, Mali, Ghana and the diaspora etc.
Fulbe Africa is a registered non-political organization that seeks to develop, maintain Fulbe culture, norms and values, foster unity and understanding amongst the Fulbe group and other ethnic groups, and raise awareness on harmful cultural practices on the African continent.”
