A grand welcome awaits President Adama Barrow when he arrives in the West Coast Region, according to information reaching What's On-Gambia. 

In line with his constitutional mandate, the Gambian leader is currently touring the country to meet the people, know their concerns and work towards addressing them. 

On Thursday, he is expected to arrive in the West Coast Region and senior members of the National Peoples' Party (NPP) are making large-scale arrangements to welcome him. 

"Thousands of people will be out to welcome our leader and his delegation before he drives to the State House," said a member of the party. 

He disclosed there is a huge enthusiasm among NPP supporters with many of them expected to travel from various parts of the region just for the event. 

According to the tour itinerary, President Barrow will be holding meetings in some of the major villages and towns in the region including Brikama. 

The tour will end on the 7th January with a grand meeting in Banjul.
