GAMBIAN WITH COURAGE: Just because you are from a poor background doesn’t mean you wouldn’t make it in life. Fatou Tamba is from a disadvantaged family, but she has drive, dedication and a strong desire to move forward.
She enjoys cooking, and currently works as a cook at Timeless Restaurant at the Brusubi Junction. Fatou attended the Girls Guide Skills Training Centre – a centre created to help semi-illiterates acquire skills and confidence they need to improve their lives.
Fatou is truly an inspiration! Thumbs up for the 24-year-old cook!
