A semester from the United Kingdom allegedly gave a marabout in Casamance D740,000 and two luxury cars valued at over D5 million in hopes of securing lifelong wealth.

A family member revealed to What’s On-Gambia: “She initially paid the marabout D740,000 for a ring that was supposed to rapidly multiply her money.”

He further explained that she later gave him two high-end vehicles, including a Range Rover purchased in England and shipped to The Gambia.

“The marabout took the cars, promising that she would remain wealthy for the rest of her life,” he added.

However, within a year, the semester began experiencing financial difficulties. When she reached out to the marabout, he advised her to be patient and assured her that she would never run out of money.

The source continued: “Once she realized the marabout was a fraud, she went to his village in Casamance to retrieve her money and vehicles. The money was already spent, but she managed to recover the vehicles.”

The semester is now selling the two vehicles. If interested, you can contact What’s On-Gambia via WhatsApp.
