A clearing agent at the Banjul Seaport has reportedly threatened to divorce his pregnant wife if she dares report his side chick to the police for allegedly insulting her.
The wife told What’s On-Gambia: “My husband is cheating on me. I am pregnant and I begged him to stop so I can have a peaceful delivery, but he refused.”
In an attempt to confront the situation, she messaged the side chick, asking her to stay away from her husband. But she responded with insults and claimed the husband told her his wife does not give him peace of mind.
Feeling disrespected, the wife threatened to report the matter to the police. But when she informed her husband of her intentions, he warned her that he would divorce her if she involved law enforcement.
The couple, who tied the knot just a year ago, are now facing serious marital strain as the husband appears unwilling to end his extramarital relationship.
