A Brusubi Turntable afra seller is facing allegations of abandoning his former assistant after she reportedly became pregnant during their relationship.
The young woman claims the man first hired her to work as his assistant before eventually asking her out. The two reportedly started dating, but things allegedly took a dramatic turn after she informed him that she was pregnant.
According to her, the news did not go down well with the afra seller, who allegedly blocked her on WhatsApp instead of standing by her.
Heartbroken and struggling to cope with the situation, the young woman says she only wants the man to come forward and accept responsibility.
“All I want is for him to step forward and take responsibility,” she said.
She also clarified that their intimate encounters never took place inside the kitchen where she worked, insisting that they met at the man’s residence.
Meanwhile, a friend of the young woman has also reached out to What’s On-Gambia, appealing for public assistance as the expectant mother allegedly struggles to make ends meet.
Her friend revealed that she is even hoping to secure a job despite her pregnancy so she can afford medication and attend antenatal check-ups.
“She said she wants to look for a job despite her condition so that she can buy medicine and attend an antenatal check-up, since the man is not taking responsibility. Things are tough on her, and she has no one to help her,” the friend said.
With the alleged father reportedly cutting off communication, the young woman is now appealing for him to come forward and take responsibility.
