A well-known marabout in Tanji, Hamady Jallow, is appealing to the public for help in locating his motorbike, which was reportedly stolen by a Senegalese national identified as Omar Mega.
According to a source close to Jallow, the suspect not only took the marabout’s motorbike but also allegedly made away with D35,000 in cash.
Speaking to What’s On-Gambia, the source said: “Omar stole the marabout’s motorbike and a significant sum of money. He urgently needs your help to find him.”
The source further claimed that Omar is a repeat offender, stating: “He is a notorious criminal and has done this to many others. He often poses as a mason to gain access to people’s homes and later robs them.”
The current whereabouts of the suspect remains unknown. Police believe he may have crossed into Senegal through one of the porous border points.
