A young man, using the Africell number +220 22721**, has claimed that a semester (a Gambian visiting from abroad) has taken his wife from him. He made the allegations in a message sent to the Grand Bantaba.
“I want you to warn this semester for me,” he wrote. “Can you imagine a semester from the UK snatching my wife?”
He continued, saying, “He took my wife from me. It’s fine, but he will regret it, because I will take him to Guinea-Bissau. The Jalangs will deal with him.”
When asked when his wife allegedly left him, the young man replied: “Just one week ago.”
He further explained that his wife and the semester had been communicating for two months. Whenever he asked his wife who she was chatting with, she reportedly told him it was her cousin.
As the holiday season approaches, many semesters from Europe and America have begun arriving in the country. Some of them end up forming new relationships and even marrying before returning abroad.
