A brave girl: Introudcing Mariam Sillah’s Youth Career Development Programme

Youth career development programme has been formulated to guide and support young individuals to recognise and explore various career options which are available to them; also to understand the significance of constructive career planning.

It is critical for young individuals in grade 10-12 to understand how to put their career plans into action in order to achieve career goals. The programme will enable students to improve their employability and enhance their long-term social and economic opportunities.

This is a four week programme; three weeks of which will be delivered in class. During the fourth week, some students will get the opportunity to complete an internship in one of the companies we are in partnership with. There are so many competent graduates here who are unemployed because they don't have 'connections'. This could be an opportunity for them to penetrate the job market.

The programme is in partnership with various companies to provide internship opportunities to students. As part of this project, we are raising awareness for the youths to condemn the BACK WAY route and explore the opportunities available in The Gambia.
Our partners include:

Global properties, Skye Bank, Sky high, NetPage, Africell, Banjul Pharmacy, WARCIP, Capital FM, Beyond (Sales, Events and Marketing), And many more......
