A new Italian café, Casa del Gelato has opened in the Mall of The Gambia at Tippa Garage Junction, Bakoteh. What’s On-Gambia stopped there on Monday to have ice cream and also chat with the managers.

When you enter Casa del Gelato, you are immediately greeted by their helpful, friendly staff. They are there to suggest drinks or ice creams to satisfy your cravings.

Patrick Gomez is one of the owners. He told us: “The feedbacks and reviews have been positive so far, and people are very excited to come in.”

Casa del Gelato is becoming one of the country’s favorite meeting spots.

“We have the best ice cream in town. Here in Gelato, our ice cream is creamy, really creamy,” said Patrick.

He added: “All our customers are happy about the creaminess of our ice cream, and the great difference we brought in the market.”

According to Patrick, who once visited Italy, Casa del Gelato’s main aim is to give Gambians TRUE ice cream that is purely Italian.

“Our ice cream meets European and Italian standards. It is the same ice cream sold in the streets of European cities.”

Casa del Gelato is open daily from 10am.
