Gambian TV presenter, Afrodeezy Njie has said she is extremely proud of her dark skin and will never beach it.
”I am proud of who I am – and my dark skin,” she told Senegal’s Leuz TV in an interview that already garnered more than 33,000 views since it was uploaded on Monday, 18th December.
Afrodeezy disclosed she is very particular about what she puts on her skin. So particular, in fact, that she prefers using skincare products made in Africa.
“I use shea butter and aloe vera. When taking shower, I utilise the ‘black soap’ made from palm oil, kola nut and other local ingredients.”
The outspoken presenter, who is currently trying her hand at acting, advised Senegambians to embrace their cultural identity.
Afrodeezy was the presenter of the popular Banjul NightLive show on GRTS. Before that, she worked at Afri Radio, where she was widely adored by her listeners.
