After 3 years, Barrow finally visits a school

President Adama Barrow's first visit to a school did not happen until last week, in his third year in office.

Students at Kobo Kunda in the Upper River Region screamed in excitement when the Gambian leader, who was a pupil at the school from 1976-1981, walked in.

Accompanied by his second wife Sarjoe and some senior government officials, Barrow spoke to the children about his childhood and encouraged them to pay serious attention to their studies.

The 55-year-old revealed he was among the first children to attend the school, which was established by the PPP government of Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara.

After completing his Primary Six (now Grade Six) at Koba Kunda, Barrow went to Crab Island Technical Secondary School before moving to Muslim High School for his GCE Ordinary Level.
