A US-based Gambian, Ebrima Mboob has become the latest young Gambian to turn his back on Islam and embrace Christianity.
In a recent Facebook video, he said: “As you may know I used to be Muslim. I read the Quran and I can read and write in Arabic. I am pretty far in the Quran, but then that’s when Jesus came and when Jesus came I turn my life around and I gave my life to Christ.”
He continued: “A lot of Muslims I know are baffled. They cannot believe what’s going on.”
Ebrima went on to say: “Muslims if you are feeling what I am feeling, just accept Jesus as your lord and saviour. He will give you a brand new heart and a brand new mind. He will change your life around because he loves you.”
Very little is known about the US-based Gambian, but a source told What’s On-Gambia that he once served in the United States army.
