APRC and NPP to give President Barrow a second term

The Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) and the National People's Party (NPP) have allegedly reached an agreement to form a coalition to give President Adama barrow a second term.

An NPP insider told What's On-Gambia : "We have signed an agreement with them and the former president Yahya Jammeh is hundred percent behind Barrow."

But the insider refused to reveal details of the agreement, saying "you will know about the details very soon. We cannot allow UDP to rule this country."

In a Facebook post earlier this month, Oxford-trained Gambian lawyer, Melville Roberts argued that if there is an agreement between the two parties, there should be a legal-regulatory framework to govern it.

He also added that enforceable mechanisms should be employed to ensure the total adherence and respect of the said coalition agreement.

"I wish both sides the very best," said Melville.
