A 22-year-old girl has accused a Spain-based semester, Nasso Muhammed of hurling insults at her and her father simply because she refused to answer his calls.

"There is this man who is texting and calling me but I didn't pick up because I am not interested. He sent me a voice message insulting my father and me, even threatening that when he comes to Gambia, he will do something to me," she alleged.

According to screenshots shared with What's On-Gambia, Muhammed first contacted her on Facebook in November 2023. After exchanging messages, they shared WhatsApp contacts.

Since then, Muhammed has been persistently calling and texting her, but she would not respond.

When asked why she suddenly stopped talking to him, she responded: "These semesters are not genuine. They always seek to exploit and discard women. I am unsure of his true intentions, which is why I avoided answering his calls."

Muhammed reacted angrily to being ignored, accusing her of rudeness for providing her number but not answering his calls.

He proceeded to insult the young woman’s father and threatened: "I will save your number. I will soon be in Gambia, I'll castrate your father. You want a car or a million from me or what?"
