Two Gambian refugees in Italy were recently at the centre of a media storm after they threatened to wreak havoc at a refugee camp in Potenza.
According to reports, the boys want the Italian government to increase their daily allowance of D586 and also provide them with better food.
"If you don’t give us more money and better food, we will kill you,” they allegedly told aid workers
It was revealed by Sunday Express that the Gambians together with a Nigerian immigrant kidnapped two aid workers and threatened to cut their throats.
The boys were arrested by the police and detained for three days before being freed without further details.
