A recent poll by a Canadian research organisation has ranked President Adama Barrow at number 5 among African presidents.
According to media reports, the poll was conducted on African Heads of States by Leaders of Tomorrow.
The Gambian leader emerged as the 5th best beating his mentor, Senegal's Macky Sall and other presidents including the popular Paul Kagame of Rwanda.
Ghana's Nana Akufo-Addo was ranked number 1. Since he won the 2016 elections, the Ghanaian president has been the man of the people with high approval rating because for his positive policies such as the free secondary education.
Among the first people to congratulate President Adama Barrow on social media was his photographer, Saul Touray.
"Congratulations!" he wrote.
The president of the Barrow Youth for National Development, Ansu Singateh told What’s On-Gambia: “The ranking clearly shows that our president is s the man that everyone looks up to and respect because of his personality, his characters, traits, and qualities. We should all congratulate him.”
