A family in Nema Jola Kunda are growing extremely concerned for the welfare of a missing young woman with epilepsy.

21-year-old Halimatou Dukureh has not been seen in almost three weeks. She disappeared in Bakoteh, where she was visiting her sister.

Her disappearance is totally out of character, one of her brothers said, and she has never gone missing before.

 "She was out to buy medicine at a nearby pharmacy and was expected back home, but has not returned since then."

The brother added: "We are growing increasingly worried and we are desperate to hear from her. We are out searching in the hope that someone has seen her."

According to him, Halimatou is an epilepsy patient.
