Blogger Sidi Sanneh criticise for spreading false news

US-based blogger, Sidi Sanneh is once again the centre of controversy — this time for spreading fake news.

The controversial pundit published a post on Facebook alleging that multi-millionaire Amadou Samba had a secret meeting with former First Lady Zenab Jammeh at a Dakar restaurant.

He also alleged Samba was subsequently arrested by Senegalese police for questioning.

Many took to Facebook to criticise the blogger for stirring unnecessary controversy.

“It's highly expected from your likes to report facts rather than friction,” wrote one Yamsoda Lewis.

Other Facebook users challenged Sidi to produce evidence that can substantiate his allegations that Mr Samba had a meeting with Zenab in the Senegalese capital.

Bala Musa Darboe wrote: “Until we see a picture of Zenab and Amadou Samba in a restaurant then we could start thinking your direction. Otherwise, a fake news across all accounts.”
