A Grade 12 student from Mahad Senior Secondary School (name withheld) has been arrested by the Brikama Police for allegedly being involved in an incident concerning his girlfriend's younger sister.

According to reports, the young girl claimed she met her sister’s boyfriend while returning from a shop. He allegedly asked her to take an item meant for her sister to his house. Upon arriving, she said he offered her a drink, after which she felt unwell and later reported that she had been harmed.

The student was taken into custody, questioned, and charged under the laws protecting minors. He was subsequently released on bail with instructions to report weekly to the Brikama Police Station.

Authorities are yet to confirm whether the matter will proceed to court. If found guilty, the accused could face significant legal consequences.

A source familiar with the case shared, “He has denied the allegations during questioning, but it has been reported that the girl is now nine weeks pregnant.”
