A newly-hired maid has returned the money she stole from her employer. She was just into her first months on the job.

A source said the employer was away at a naming ceremony when the maid stole one thousand six hundred dollars from her bedroom.

“She was away and as usual, she left the entire key with her. The maid was alone in the house. When she got back home, the maid told her that she had to leave earlier due to some personal problems,” explained our source.

She continued: “The employer became suspicious and went straight into her bedroom to check if something is missing. She was shocked to discover that part of her money was gone.”

When the maid was confronted, according to our source, she lied repeatedly. The employer pressed her so hard to get a confession or at least enough incriminating statement.

“When she realized that things were getting serious, she decided to surrender the money and begged for forgiveness.”

The maid, who was treated so well in the house, was immediately sacked. The employer vowed never to employ a maid.
