Following the invasion of bed bugs in their dormitories, some students at the Gambia College, Brikama Campus have deserted their rooms.

What’s On-Gambiagathered that the blood –sucking insects have rendered most of the dormitory beds useless.

“The principal himself came round and saw our living conditions but haven't done anything about it,” said one of the students.

According to the student, they are paying D200 to stay in the dormitories for summer classes.

“Some of us sleep on those beds and battle with the bugs because we have no other option.”

The student said the situation is very frustrating and she would like to appeal to the government to help them as quickly as possible.
