Christopher Mendy, popularly known as Chris Black, is engaged to his German girlfriend, Jacqueline.

The Germany-based event organiser and Gambian music promoter announced the happy news on Christmas Eve with a Facebook post.

His fiancée also shared a c close-up view of the ring in a photo with the caption: “I said yes!”

The pair were flooded with well wishes from friends following their happy announcement.

One of their friends, Jasmin Gregersen commented: “OMG how cute. Congratulations to both of you. May God bless the union always and forever.”

Another friend, Ensa TC Gomez wrote:  “Congrats Chris, may u live a happy and fruitful matrimonial life.”

One Charles Keita said: “Behind any successful man, there's a woman. You both are lucky.”

Chris and Jacqueline are expecting their first child this year.
