Is Jaye Mbye really planning to quit her music career? Please, don't bet on it. 

The singer has cleared up rumors that she is planning on retiring from music to focus on her marriage.  She made it clear to What’s On-Gambia that she is not about to go anywhere anytime soon. 

According to rumors, Jaye’s husband wants her to quit music. A die-hard fan told What’s On-Gambia: “Jaye is married months ago and now we are wondering if the husband has asked her to stop doing music. If that is the case, we will never forgive him.” 

But Jaye has strongly dismissed the rumors, explaining that she is about to head into the studio to record a second album with her brother MJ. 

She told What’s On-Gambia: “That is not true! How can my husband ask me to quit music? He knows me in music and he is supporting me hundred percent. I’m still on the game.” 

In 2008, Jaye and her brother, MJ started a brother and sister duo. Their debut album, Warnala was dedicated to the Gambian president, Dr. Alh. Yahya A.J.J Jammeh. According to her, the album which was released in October 2012 was widely appreciated by Gambian music lovers and very soon they will drop a new music video. 

She also disclosed to What’s On Gambia: “Recently, we were on the famous Ladies Riddim Vol.2, produced by Nova’s Ghetto Boy Music.”
