Businessman Hatib Janneh has met his 28-year-old son he never knew existed after their relationship was revealed by a DNA test.

In a Facebook post last week, he wrote: "Friends and family. This is my son Bashan, who I just met after 28 years."

Hatib was in a relationship with Bashan's mum, but never knew she fell pregnant during their romance.

"The mum just decided to tell me now, so we decided to do DNA and it happens to be my son. It's better late than never. Please welcome him to the Janneh family. Nice kid;" said Hatib.

But the businessman didn't disclose any information about Bashan's mother.

Hatib was one of the most popular young men among girls in the country in the 1980s and early 1990s. He dated some of the prettiest Gambian women crafted by God.
