As he prepares for the next season of the Italian Serie A, Ebrima Darboe will soon become the first Gambian to be coached by José Mourinho - one of the world's greatest coaches.
After his Tottenham sacking, the Portuguese-born was hired as head coach for Ebrima's team, AS Roma on a three-year deal.
The team tweeted in May: "The club are delighted to announce an agreement has been reached with Jose Mourinho for him to become our new head coach ahead of the 2021-22 season."
According to media reports, it will be Mourinho's second spell in the Italian league. He was with Inter Milan before his 2010 move to Real Madrid.
Ebrima, who is still a sprouting star, might benefit a lot from Mourinho's impressive expertise.
The youngster is right now one of the most promising Gambian footballers. He was recently nominated for the Golden Boy Award by Tuttosport.
