The lead counsel at the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC), Essa Faal has thanked the administrators of his Facebook fans group for bringing more people to the group. 

in a message sent to one of them, the famous lawyer said: "I understand that the fans club has reached the milestone number of 70k fans. This is performance way beyond expectation." 

Essa continued: "I take this opportunity to congratulate and thank you and all your colleagues for the excellent performance. Keep it up! I am sure that you can still do much better and I look forward to you reaching 100k- something not yet achieved in The Gambia. Am sure you can do it" 

The group, which is set to private, and only members can see who's in the group and what they post., was created shortly after Essa was appointed lead counsel at the TRRC.  

"Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group should stay in the group," wrote the group’s admins. 

Rumours are swirling that Essa has political ambitions and might run for president one day.
