Faji Kunda girl becomes co-wife to her sister

A bizarre love triangle has rocked Faji Kunda after a young woman became a co-wife to her best friend, who was like a sister to her.

The young woman, Oumie J tied the knot with her best friend's Senegalese husband on Sunday, June 5, despite her own father's disapproval.

A source in Faji Kunda disclosed to What's On-Gambia: "She got married to him after secretly dating him while the wife was away in Touba staying with her parents-in-law."

In an angry WhatsApp text message, Oumie told her now co-wife and mother-of-four:" Nyaka class, nyaka fayda. Call the police, I am right on your bed fi la fanan tay."

One of their mutual friends wrote on her WhatsApp status: "Unexpected things happen nowadays. It is very painful to share your husband with your best friend. She's not only a friend to you but a sister, a twinny. "

She continued: "I don't know what to say anymore. Let's please check the type of people we call besties because it's very sad. It touches my heart, blie. I never expected this."

Many in Oumie's neighborhood of Faji Kunda never suspected anything between her and the Senegalese man until when they heard that the pair were getting married.

The new couple now lives together, while the first wife, a Faji Kunda-born Christian who converted to Islam after meeting the Senegalese, is staying in Touba with her in-laws.
