The Gambia Prison Service is searching for an armed robber who recently escaped from the Mile 2 Prison in Banjul.

According to information reaching What's On-Gambia, Abdoulie Bah can cause real harm to anyone he comes across.

Abdoulie, who is standing trial for burglary and stealing, was reported missing on Monday, May 30, when he did not appear in court in Kanifing.

The notorious armed robber was caged at the Mile 2 prison after he allegedly broke into a home and stole D179,000. He was armed with a dangerous weapon, according to our source.

An insider at the Gambia Prison Service said Abdoulie is a dangerous criminal. He described him as a menace to society.

When we contacted the PRO at the Gambia Prison Service to find out how Abdoulie and other prisoners managed to escape, he declined to comment.

"We are trying to rearrest them," said Modou Lamin Ceesay.
