A man, who pretended to be an SIS officer, was on Sunday confronted by an angry group of young men for harassing young lovers on the Palma Rima beach.
One Muhammed Sankareh disclosed to What's On-Gambia: "He was caught at the beach taking photos of young boys and girls and threatening to expose them if they don't give him money."
He continued: "He would come and sit behind you and suddenly starts taking photos. He did it to a young couple who were sitting not far from me. I quickly approached him to find out why he was taking photos. He claimed he was an SIS officer, but had no warrant card on him. In fact, he knew nothing about SIS."
Muhammed and his friends managed to delete all the photos in the fake SIS officer's mobile phone.
"We took photos of him to share on social media for people to recognize him. There are so many criminals around scamming innocent Gambians," he said.
