Famous Instagramer Fatima Kargbo, also known as Timaah Love, has alleged that semesters are smuggling drugs into the country.

In a message sent to What's On-Gambia, she wrote: "People from Europe are smuggling drugs into The Gambia for money and their own personal use. They are just wicked and selfish."

The young woman, who has over 8,000 followers on Instagram, claimed she is a medical student in Germany.

Fatima further alleged that substance abuse is increasing among young Gambians, especially those living in the Greater Banjul Area. She said: "Illicit drugs are dangerous and our health care system is very poor."

The Instagramer continued: "We all see what drugs are doing to people in Europe, most of them are homeless and sick. They are addicted to drugs that they can't control themselves."

Shisha smoking

Fatima advised women to stop smoking shisha, saying:" Shisha smoking can kill you. It causes cancer, decreases fertility and lung dysfunction. People make it very fashionable as if it is normal."
