Fatou Touray is strongly tipped to become the country’s new Queen of television.

The Lamin-born, who was forced into exile in the USA after falling out with the former government in 2013, made her highly anticipated return to television last week with her new talk show, Kerr Fatou.

Some of her fans described it as the comeback of all comebacks.

Since her return to The Gambia following Jammeh’s humiliating election defeat, Fatou became one of the most talked about celebrities in the country.

Kerr Fatou has already bagged more than six sponsorship deals. The maiden episode, which was aired on GRTS, received a lot of positive reviews online from Gambians both at home and abroad.

“Fantastic programme. Proud to be Gambian,” wrote one Wandeh Njie.

Amina Dibba added: “Kerr Fatou, very interesting can't wait for next episode.”
