Foreign Affairs Minister Tangara’s multi-million dalasi mansion nears completion

The multi-million dalasi mansion set to be the future home of Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Mamadou Tangara is well on its way to completion.

Construction of the state-of-art structure in Salagi began immediately after Tangara was appointed minister in 2018.

A source disclosed: "The Chinese are constructing the mansion. It might be completed very soon and the minister will move into it with his family."

Although he is currently renting at the Brufut Heights, Tangara is one of the wealthiest civil servants in the country. He makes millions annually from per diems and other allowances.

The famous diplomat is among the ministers who were re-appointed by President Adama Barrow following his December 4 election victory.

An insider at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Banjul said Tangara's reappointment proves the high appreciation of his work by the Gambian leader.
