Popular designer Masanneh Badjie, better known as Mazz Mizzle, has become the first Gambian man to buy himself a luxury car as a birthday gift.

The designer and organizer of the annual Goudi Sanseh fashion show recently celebrated his birthday and decided to give himself a treat to mark turning 30.

He wrote on his Instagram: "Feels so refreshing to rely on no one but yourself. Work hard and everything will fall in place by the grace of God."

More than 1000 people including comedian Tida Jobe liked the post and they congratulated Mazz on his birthday.

Businesswoman and fashionista Binta Dibba commented: "Happy birthday Mazz. This is all your hard work. May God bring you more prosperity and happiness because you always put a smile on people's faces."

Mazz is one of the richest designers in the country. That's why many were not very surprised when he bought the D850,000 car for himself.
