Gambian girls accused of ‘prostituting’ to get business for Nigerian banks

Which job sector can you find the country’s most beautiful young ladies? Ask this question to anyone and the answer would be: the banks.

Concerns have become astronomically high in many quarters that the banking sector, dominated by Nigerian banks, is not merely altruistic.

There has been an increase in the number of beautiful young Gambian girls working for Nigerian Banks and it is believed that some of these girls have sexual relations with their Nigerian bosses in exchange for jobs.

Even more disconcerting, according to an industry insider, is the high pressure placed on the shoulders of these girls to generate businesses for the banks in a fiercely competitive market.

“It is very sad that the banks encourage these girls to go all out and get business from clients for whatever it takes,” said the insider.

He added: “Many girls are now working with banks like Skye Bank and other Nigerian ones but what people don’t know is that most of these people are paid based on commission. Our sisters are now selling themselves to the highest bidder to get business and keep their jobs in the banking industry.”

A few months ago, a young woman working with Zenith Bank was sacked after her nude photos got leaked online. She was allegedly dating a semester she met through her work.

More revelations about Nigerian banks and the activities of their Nigerian bosses coming soon!
