GAMBIAN WITH COURAGE: He knows what it’s like to come from a low-income family. Dr John Jabang overcame tremendous odds to become one of The Gambia’s most promising home-trained doctors. Despite his academic achievements, he remains humble and down to earth. During a recent interview on Paradise FM, the young doctor said: "A very good Doctor should be a very good communicator." One of Dr Jabang’s main areas of interest is community sensitization and mobilization. He is part of ‘Simaya’, a weekly radio health program that educates the general public about common health issues. Some of his colleagues described him as a very hard working, honorable and responsible medical practitioner. Thumbs up for Dr John Jabang.
