Gambian with courage: He is so calm and humble about his academic achievements. Ismaila D. Badjie is undoubtedly one of the successful young Gambians in the USA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (B.S. Chem.) and a Professional Doctor Degree in Pharmacy (Parm.D.). 

Ismaila was a popular youth leader before he left for the USA. He was actively involved in several extracurricular activities. 

In 2007, he did a research on pharmacogenetics and hereditary related diseases affecting Sub-Saharan Africa. His areas of interest include community pharmacy leadership, medication safety, global health and disease state management.
