In a rare glimpse into her life, reports reaching What’s On-Gambia revealed that all is not well with Cess Ngum.

Her marriage with former diplomat, Ebrima JT Kujabi, is breaking down. According to a source, the singer’s recent return to music is actually a cover up for the drama going on her marriage. 

The couple’s marriage hit rock bottom after JT lost his job as ambassador-at-large at the Gambian Embassy in Washington DC, USA, making it difficult for the young family to continue with their “big boss” lifestyle.

Cess got married to the former diplomat after a brief whirlwind romance. This was at a time when JT was one of the most powerful boys in State House.

According to our source, he is back in the USA to seek political asylum and bring his family to join him. JT is penniless. His flight ticket to the USA was paid for by Cess.

“Cess wants to end the marriage but afraid of how the public would react to it. She doesn’t want to be seen as a gold digger, who ran away because the bank account is empty,” said the source.

The singer has returned to the stage amid releasing a music video.  She was one of the musicians that accompanied the president on his recently concluded meet the people tour.
