Are you wondering why former Senegalese football star, Elhadji Diouf, stayed longer than expected in The Gambia?

He accepted no financial reward for his promotional visit. He claimed to be a Senegambian and spent most part of his stay meeting good people and commenting about social issues. But there was another side to his visit.

According to reliable information reaching What’s On-Gambia, he was enjoying boozy wild nights with some of the prettiest Gambian girls (names withheld).

“I saw him at Reo’s a couple of times and he was always with a girl,” said a source.

Elhadji Diouf, who was twice named African Footballer of the Year, was said to have spent most of his time in the country chatting to partygoers in the Senegambia Strip. One of them, who begged for anonymity, told What’s On-Gambia. “I was with him in the club, but when I saw girls throwing themselves at him, I left. He was so drunk.”

Another partygoer said the Senegalese star seems particularly interested in Gambian girls, especially young ones below 25. He proved he still has his hard-partying ways.

Elhadji Diouf was invited in the country by the Sports’ Journalists Association to grace their annual award night.
