Husband appeals to public for help in finding missing wife

The husband of a newly-married woman, who has gone missing since July 17, has appealed to the public for help in finding her.

Jainaba Mballow was last seen on Sunday, July 17, after collecting “fish money” from her husband, Malick Dem to cook lunch for the family.

The couple were living together in Brikama Gidda. Extensive searches were made to find the young woman, but to no avail.

Malick said: “ She is from Kembujeh, but moved over to Brikama to stay with me after tying the knot.

According to his brother, Samba Dem, who also contacted What’s On-Gambia, there is increasing concern for Jainaba’s safety.

When asked if the marriage was arranged, he responded: "No, it was not arranged. They were introduced by a mutual friend."

Anyone with information about Jainaba’s whereabouts is asked to kindly call 7678988.
