A young woman from Bakau has disclosed to What's On-Gambia that she stopped dating Gambian men after discovering that some of them are "liars and freaks".

"They are pathological liars. Yes, fen rek. They will tell you all sorts of things, like how they are ready to settle down and build a family with you, only to realize that you are not the one being lied to," she said.

The young woman, who doesn't want her name to be disclosed, continued: "Some Gambian men are selfish and do not give a shit about your emotions. They start asking for nude photos when you barely know them. All they think about is sex, but yet they want to marry virgins."

According to her, some Gambian men including her ex-boyfriends are childish. She said: "They can't hold genuine conversations, their sarcasm approach to every situation is embarrassing and when you break up with them, they either beat you up or have your nudes displayed for public viewing. They act like toddlers."

She added: "They want their wives or girlfriends to always say "waw bahna" to everything. They are unapologetic and have no sense of respect. if you are not submissive, you are automatically considered a gold digger. They are threatened by strong, independent and intelligent women.”

The young woman said she prefers dating white men because they are more "passionate, trustworthy, supportive and romantic".
